Sandra D. Hodge-Hampton


Sandra made her feature film directorial debut with the TRUTH the PAIN the SACRIFICE: an actor's reality, which won the Silver Medal Award at the Houston International Film Festival. She is a recipient of numerous awards most notably the Guy Hanks/Marvin Miller SCREENWRITING FELLOWSHIP and the Frances E. Williams Artist Grant. This Hodge-Hampton made her stage directorial debut with the full-length musical play entitled A Taste of Life, which was mounted at the1200 seat Wilshire Ebell Theater in Los Angeles. For Black Entertainment Television, Ms. Hodge-Hampton wrote and produced their Emmy Nominee Awards Presentation held at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills. As an independent, Sandra served as Producer and Executive Producer of the feature film A Part of Me, which was requested to participate in the American Film Institute's Independent Film Retrospective at the prestigious Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. In New York, Ms. Hodge-Hampton honed her directorial skills under the tutelage of Broadway produced Director and Choreographer, Otis Sallid, conceiver of the Tony nominated musical Smokey Joe's Café. With Sallid, Sandra acquired production experience in commercials, episodic television, music videos and Broadway musicals. As Executive Assistant to actor-writer-director-producer Laurence Fishburne, Ms. Hodge-Hampton assisted Mr. Fishburne in all areas of film, television, and theater production, acting as his personal liaison on all projects at home and abroad. Warner Bros.' The Matrix, HBO's Always Outnumbered, and a Broadway production of Lion In Winter are just a few of the widely acclaimed projects Sandra worked on during her tenure with Mr. Fishburne. For MGM Studios, she served as assistant and directing apprentice to Prison Break Executive Producer and director Kevin Hooks on the feature film Fled. With a Finance degree from the U. of Notre Dame, where she received the LeClairEells Award for writing, producing and directing her play Living Memories, Sandra went on to do post-graduate studies at the Goodman School of Drama, the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, NYU, UCLAx and the U. of Southern California. Veronica A. Hodge-Hampton

DRUMLINE, Bernie Mac Show, X-MEN: First Class, Zombieland, THE BLIND SIDE are just a few of the myriad of films and television shows Veronica A. Hodge-Hampton has worked on as a Directors Guild of America assistant director. For over twenty years, this Hodge-Hampton has personified excellence as an A.D. while honing her skills to direct the short B.T.A. which will soon be a television dramedy series. Currently, a First A.D. on hit television shows like Finding Carter for MTV, Devious Maids for Lifetime, Hindsight for VH-1,and THE WALKING DEAD for AMC, Veronica was pegged by acclaimed director David Boyd to 1st A.D. his feature film HOME RUN. Ms. Hodge-Hampton expects to be directing her first feature, an UNTITLED HORROR film, by the end of the year. As one of the talented co-creators of Glory VisionWorks, Veronica hopes to inspire newcomers to the entertainment industry to think creatively when solving production challenges. Her ultimate goal is to foster a healthy environment of fun and collaboration among GVW clients and crew members.
